Taper collects nothing. There is no account, no server, and nothing to opt out of.
Nothing. Taper has no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising identifiers and no third-party SDKs of any kind. The app makes no network requests. There is no sign-in because there is no account to sign in to.
Everything the app asks you for is written to your device and read back from it. None of it is transmitted anywhere:
Deleting the app deletes all of it. There is no copy elsewhere, and no way for us to recover it or read it.
When you add someone to your contact audit, Taper opens the system contact picker. That picker runs outside the app: iOS shows it, you choose who to hand over, and only the people you pick are passed back. Taper never has access to your address book as a whole, and it does not ask for that permission.
If you use the optional app shield, it runs through Apple's Screen Time framework. Those restrictions are applied by iOS on your device. Taper cannot see which apps you use or for how long, and Apple does not share that with us.
The full programme is a single in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple. Apple processes the payment and tells the app whether it was bought. We never see your name, payment details or address — only whether this device holds the purchase.
If you gave us an email address on this website, it is stored so we can tell you when Taper is out, and used for nothing else. It is never sold or shared. Ask us and we will delete it.
Taper is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, of any age.
If this policy ever changes, the date below changes with it. Since the app collects nothing, any change would be about the website rather than the app.
